To ensure call details are received outside TNG, first test from the buffer:
-
Stop TNG service.
-
Connect to the buffer using putty or hyperterminal.
-
If you get output for ‘SYS’ or ‘REV’, then the buffer is working.
-
TNG prompt the buffer for call details; therefore it should be set AUTO DUMP disabled.
-
Confirm on the ‘SYS’ output if AUTO DUMP is disabled.
-
If not, the command is ‘SAD 0’.
-
Now you can type ‘S’ and enter to receive 1 string of call details.
-
If there are any corrupt data, press ‘S’ until no more received.
-
If still no call details, make an answered test call with a duration and after call termination - press ‘S’.
-
If call details received, then it is now working.
- Disconnect with putty/hyperterminal to free the com port.
- Start TNG service.
- The call list page should update - depending on call volume.
-
If call details not received, the cable from the PABX must be tested.
- connect the cable direct to a PC which has a comport or use a USB to serial converter.
- connect with hyperterminal/putty to that comport see if call data received.
- if no call details received, do trouble shooting on the serial cable and PABX side.
