AMETHYST and linked devices

Each device must have a license to load recordings.

If the format of devices changed from, for example 3 to 4 digits,
there is an option to link them and still us only one license.

Steps:

  1. Log into AMETHYST Webadmin (not AMETHYST Supervisor).
  2. Go to the MAPPING page.
  3. The device no longer in use should be mapped to the new device, see MAP TO DEVICE column:

  4. Under the MAP TO DEVICE, next to the old device - type the new device number.
    It will give a list of all devices with does digits in, select the correct one.
    NOTE: The format is (as per Device Mapping colomns):
    DEVICE, (System generated ID nr), CONTROLLER ID, TENANT ID, DATATEX CAPTURE ID
  5. If more than one device must be linked, link all to the same new device.
    Don’t link to a linked device and create daisy chain setup.
